Types of Volunteer Opportunities
Assist with office duties such as inputting patient data into our medical database and enrolling patients in public benefit programs. You can also help inform patients about upcoming events or services by making phone calls to existing medical patients.

Venture into the community to educate people about our clinic’s services and public benefit programs. Assist in promoting our services through health fairs, monthly food distribution, family planning education, immunization clinics, and dental screenings at schools. If you enjoy interacting directly with a diverse set of people, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

We are always looking for people to help translate forms from English into Spanish and Vietnamese. As a translator, you can also work in Outreach to translate for our non-bilingual staff at community events.

*Must be bilingual in Spanish or Vietnamese to qualify for this volunteer position.

Information Technology (IT):
Put your tech knowledge to use by helping our IT department with various assignments, such as setting up new desktop and laptop computers, installing new phone lines, or fixing broken computers and printers.
Time Commitment
You decide how often you would like to volunteer! Whether it be several times a week or just once a month, we are happy to accommodate your schedule. We simply ask that we can rely on your attendance and commitment for the days you sign up for.
All volunteer applicants must fill out a Volunteer Application Form with our Human Resources Department.  If we have an appropriate placement for you, you will be invited to an interview and asked to provide references.
Be at least 16 years of age
Complete a Volunteer application
Interview with our Human Resources department to determine areas of interest and possible assignments
Complete a background check
Complete a TB skin test, drug screen, and volunteer orientation
Ashley is a Louisville, KY native currently residing in Silicon Valley since 2011.  She has been with Foothill Community Health Center since 2015 and she has shown that she understands and believes in the mission and the spirit of Foothill.  As a passionate volunteer hersef in her personal time, she believes that her role as a Volunteer Coordinator will assist the volunteers of Foothill Community Health Center in coming to know and love the organization that she so highly respects,

We are looking for energetic and motivated volunteers who are passionate about providing much needed help for the medically underserved populations in San Jose.

Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and must feel comfortable interacting with a diverse population.
